gigging in several local bands, Matt regularly gets to practice what he teaches whether that be Classic Rock, Blues or Jazz in one of his own bands, or covering for other drummers, playing styles as diverse as Pop, Rock N Roll, Reggae and even Barn Dances.

Matt also has a corporate training background and his passion for education has seen him gain qualifications in coaching, training, facilitation and mentoring. Having taught drums since 2019, Matt provides drum lessons in the Leicestershire and Rutland areas privately as well as working peripatetically in schools. He is avid about his pupils learning the musical context of their playing and in ‘serving the song'.
